Joe Beck

Joe Beck – Stryker Village Mayor

Joe Beck is a lifelong resident of Stryker. He takes great pride in Stryker and looks forward to making Stryker the best it can be, while maintaining the small town feel that he feels was so important when raising his family. Joe is employed by Bryan City Schools as the transportation supervisor and Jr. High basketball coach. He is a 22 year veteran of the Navy Reserves and served two deployments in the Middle East. Joe is also active in his church.

Alan Riegsecker

Alan Riegsecker – Village Administrator

Alan has over 19 years of experience in public works. He holds a Class 1 EPA license in both water and wastewater. He also runs as a first responder for Stryker/Springfield Township. Alan has owned and operated heavy excavation equipment for over 30 years, and has over 29 years of experience as a basketball referee.

Beth Rediger

Beth Rediger – Village Fiscal Officer

Beth Rediger is the Village Fiscal Officer. Her hire date was October 21, 2013. She has over 15 years experience as a Fiscal Officer with the Village of Alvordton and the Village of West Unity. Beth received her certified Municipal Clerk License in December 2006 and Master Municipal Clerk thru Kent State in November 2011

Emily Clemens – Deputy Clerk

Emily is a graduate of Stryker High School and graduated with honors from Defiance College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Past work experience includes the Ohio State, Office of the Auditor for 5 years. Emily is married to Josh and has 2 daughters: Aubrey and McKenzie. She enjoys spending time with her family and helping coach her daughters volleyball, basketball and softball teams.

Brook Oberlin – Village Council Member

Brook is a graduate from Stryker High School and graduated with honors from Tri-State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). After graduating from college he worked for Ford Motor Co. in Detroit before moving back to Stryker. He has been working for over 30 years for Powers and Sons in Montpelier – designing steering and suspension components and systems. While working for Powers and Sons he has traveled to countries such as Germany, Brazil, China, India and Mexico visiting many manufacturing plants. Brook is married to Mandy and has 3 daughters: Darian, Abby, and Kamryn. Some interests are coaching his daughter’s softball and basketball teams, golf, hunting and fishing. Brook is currently on the Stryker summer recreation board.

Lana Tompkins

Lana Tompkins – Village Council Member

Lana Tompkins was raised in Michigan, but has called Stryker home for over 20 years. Her husband’s name is Terry and they have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. She loves visiting with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she feeds and photographs birds, travels, and camps. Lana feels that being a Council member is a great way to help the community. She is looking forward to all she and her fellow Council members can accomplish for Stryker.

Bob Sperling

Bob Sperling – Village Council President

Bob Sperling has been a resident of Stryker for over 25 years with his wife Tammy. They have four adult children, one cat and two Maltese dogs. Bob previously served on the council for 7 years after being asked to fill a vacant seat. During that time, he served numerous terms as council president and was appointed to most of the various village committees. Bob Serves as Assistant Fire Chief and Grant Procurement Officer with the Springfield Township Fire Department, where he has been a member for 25 years. Bob is the Maintenance Superintendent of the Ohio Gas Company, where he has been employed for 35 years. He is a member of the Leadership Williams County class of 2001 – 2002. He is a member certificate holder of NACE International and is a voting member of several NACE technical committees. He serves as sub-chair of the Fundamentals Section of the AUCSC held at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, where he has previously instructed. He is president of the Ohio Corrosion Committee, is a Distribution Delegate to the Midwest Energy Association, and is a past Chairman and Secretary of the OGA Corrosion Committee. He has served as an election poll worker and has been Presiding Judge on several occasions. He is a member of the NASCAR Fire and Safety Team assigned to Michigan International Speedway. Bob and his wife are members of NWOGEO and enjoy spending time geocaching.

Lee Armstrong

Lee Armstrong – Village Council Member

Lee Armstrong lives in Stryker with his wife, Anissa, and two boxers, Gibbs and Delilah. He works at ArcelorMittal in Pioneer, Ohio as a laser weld cell operator. Lee has served on the Village of Stryker Council as President in the past. He also was a firefighter for the Springfield Township/Stryker Village Fire Department. He is a co-owner of the local coffee house, “A Place in Time Coffee House & Bistro.”

Rex Blevins

Rex Blevins – Village Council Member

Rex Blevins has served on council in past years. He has been a resident of Stryker for 49 years. Rex has been employed at Sauder Wood Working for 30 years as a forklift driver and has been serving on the Stryker Fire Department for 20 years. He is presently their safety Officer. Rex’s Hobby interests include, Golf, Camping, NASCAR Racing and watching Ohio State Football, Basketball and Baseball. His motivation for running for Council was so he can give back to the Village of Stryker.

Mick Frisbie

Mick Frisbie – Village Council Member

Mick is a 24 year resident of Stryker and has been employed at the Williams County Sheriff’s Office for over fifteen years. Mick is also a small business owner (Clear View Window Cleaning) that has been operating out of the Village of Stryker since 1992. Mick began his law enforcement career with the Stryker Police Department and has participated on the Summer Rec Board, coached Pony League Baseball, and T-ball. Mick enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, baseball, and water sports.
